**Employment type**: Permanent part-time / full-time, with 6 month probation.
- M_ike’s Carpet Discounters is a family owned and operated business, servicing both metropolitan and regional _V_ictoria since 1975. It specialises in carpet, flooring, window finishes and has stores in Camberwell, Glenwaverley, Carrum Downs, Rosebud and Truganina, with a very strong physical store and online foot print growth strategy across Victoria.

**About the role**

To provide our customers with a superior level of service in order to achieve customer satisfaction.

Working in a very fast paced and friendly environment with a young and dynamic team, you will assist with successfully completing flooring projects, including neat finishing works and sub-floor preparation.

**The key responsibilities of this role will be**:
Site coordination Providing a professional customer experience Work collaboratively with on road and onsite team members Ensuring shop is opened on time, and closed with all opening and closing checklists ticked off Utilising various systems and tools to understand job plans Performing site visits for the purpose of client engagement, assessment, measuring and setting realistic expectations about project delivery Planning and coordinating installations Professionally handing and managing irate customers or customer escalations, including problem solving, managing customer expectations, and finding a mutually agreeable solution

Have trade certificates Physically fit and capable Reliable and hardworking Be a confident communicator and a team player The drive to exceed sales goals and KPI’s

Clean, professional presentation Computer literate Fluent in English Valid Victorian Drivers’ License Flexibility to attend after-hours or _w_eekend works and regional jobs Basic understanding of retail operations Keeping the work environment clean and safe Valid construction induction training - white card required.

This is a hands-on role for a proactive all-rounder that is great with handling customers, can develop meaningful relationships, problem solve with ease and likes to have some fun along the way. The nature of a finishing trade will involve some issues, therefore the ability to analyse problems, determine the best options available to resolve the issue is paramount.

Key attributes that are fundamental to the team are passion for quality, self-motivation, and teamwork for the role. We are seeking someone who has the requisite skillset, although has some developmental goals that will entail growing with our business.
