**ABOUT THE ROLE**

**We are looking for our next team member who is willing to work to a high standard to implement our centre philosophy into practice.**

**At Little Wonders Early Learning Centre, we are all about nature based, loose parts play, upcycling and community connections Our centre needs someone to join our team ready to be a leader in this role.**

You will be working with our team across the floor whilst studying through a high quality local RTO to complete a Diploma traineeship.

This positions is full time Monday-Friday working between 7am-6pm. It would ideally suit someone who is able to work both open shifts (7am-3.30pm) and close shifts (10am-6pm) as well as the middle shifts (8.30-4.30).

This position could be best suited to someone looking to start their career in early childhood education and care through completing their studies whilst working with children. Applicants who already have their Certificate 3 in Early Childhood Education and Care are encouraged to apply, ensuring you bring with you the skill set of a Certificate 3 Educator to the team.

This position requires someone who is able to undertake study whilst working and respects the hard work involved in working with young children and their families.

Qualified Certificate 3 or Diploma applicants with experience working at a centre, will be able to lead age groups of children and also encouraged to apply.

**RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**
- Learning and implementing the policies, procedures and routines of the service.
- Learning how to establish & maintain professional repsectful relationships with staff, children, families & community members.
- Learning & implementing the skills required to work in our centre environment with children.
- Giving each child individual attention and comfort as required.
- Participating in centre events and implementing our centre program both planned and spontaneous experiences.
- Observing & documenting children's learning in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and associated professional sector guiding documents
- Food preparation in line with centre policies and munch and move guidelines
- Maintaining a clean, safe and inviting centre environment both inside and outside
- Engaging with children in gardening, including teaching and learning alongside groups of children about topics of sustainability and environment responsibility
- Leading age group of children, implementing daily learning experiences and activities

**Skills and Experience**
- Applicants with a genuine interest of early years education and care and wanting to complete their Diploma in Children's Services or are Certificate 3 Qualified.
- We're looking for someone with an enthusiastic personality who is able to engage confidently in interactions with the children, our team and families.
- Patience is a must when working with children along with respectful communication and a positive attitude.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship
Part-time hours: 38 per week

**Salary**: $21.50 - $26.00 per hour
