**Position Overview**:
The BIM Modeler plays a crucial role in the successful implementation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) for SSTOM project. The BIM Modeler is responsible for creating accurate and detailed 3D models of railway infrastructure components and coordinating with various stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and project managers. This position requires expertise in BIM software, strong technical skills, and a deep understanding of railway infrastructure design and construction.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- BIM Model Development:
- Develop 3D models of railway infrastructure components, including tracks, tunnels, bridges, stations, and other related elements, using industry-leading BIM software such as Autodesk Revit, Naviswork, Revizto etc.
- Ensure that the BIM models are accurate, up-to-date, and comply with relevant design standards, regulations, and project specifications.
- Incorporate design changes and updates into the BIM models and communicate them effectively to the project team.
- BIM Coordination and Collaboration:
- Conduct clash detection and coordination analysis to identify and resolve conflicts and clashes between different building systems and disciplines within the BIM models.
- Collaborate and assist the BIM Coordinator with the weekly activities like extract quantities from the models, the design coordination and review of BIM Models.
- Attend to BIM coordination meetings and providing necessary documentation and reports.
- BIM Documentation and Reporting:
- Generate accurate and comprehensive BIM documentation, including 2D drawings, schedules, quantities, and reports, based on the information extracted from the BIM models.
- Prepare and present BIM progress reports to project stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, achievements, and potential risks or issues.
- Maintain an organized and up-to-date BIM database and ensure proper version control and file management for all BIM-related documents and models.
- Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to BIM and railway infrastructure design and construction.
- Explore and implement advanced BIM functionalities, such as parametric modelling, family creation, and scripting, to optimize workflows and improve efficiency.
- Identify areas for improvement within the BIM process and propose innovative solutions to enhance productivity and quality.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in BIM software, such as Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, Revizto etc.
- In-depth knowledge of infrastructure design, construction methodologies, and relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve clashes and conflicts within BIM models.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet project deadlines.
- Continuous learning mindset and a passion for staying updated with emerging trends and technologies in BIM and railway infrastructure.
