Barista/all Rounder

**Experienced Barista / Café All-Rounder - SUM Café and Thai Eatery**

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Barista/Café All-Rounder to join our friendly team at SUM Café and Thai Eatery, located in Ormond. In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, taking orders via our POS system, and most importantly, crafting consistently high-quality coffee with excellent technique. Your energy, skills, and attention to detail will help us deliver a warm and memorable experience to every customer.

Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS system
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and tea beverages to a high standard
- Demonstrate strong coffee-making skills, with consistency and attention to detail
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front counter and coffee station
- Deliver food, drinks, and coffee to customers in a timely manner
- Clear tables, assist with general cleaning, and support daily café operations
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Contribute positively to the team environment

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar café or hospitality role (highly preferred)
- Proven barista skills and a strong passion for making great coffee
- Ability to operate espresso equipment with confidence
- Excellent knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and consistency
- Strong understanding of café menus and beverages
- Confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
- Positive attitude, reliable, and a proactive team player
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Must be available for weekday and weekend shifts (morning shifts, minimum 5 hours per day)
