We have an opportunity available as an **Assistant Manager **at their soon to be opened flagship venue in **Canberra Centre.**

**The role is an immediate start at their second location in Canberra.**

**The Role**:
If successful, your primary purpose as an Assistant Manager is to ensure your customers are “wowed” at every interaction with your team. Essentially, you are responsible for the effective and consistent operations of the café with the support of the Café Manager.

More specifically, your key accountabilities in this role will be the following:

- Customer first approach
- People management and engagement
- Sales and profit growth
- Operational efficiency
- Workplace Health and Safety and compliance

**You**:
As an Assistant Manager, ideally you will be an energetic, enthusiastic, customer centric and solutions focused individual who loves the hospitality (café) industry.

You will have met the following criteria to be successful:

- Must have proven experience in Café/Restaurant/QSR industry
- Be accountable and a strong manager with ability to delegate
- Ability to support in recruitment, training and development of staff
- Have a collaborative approach to daily tasks
- Basic coffee making and food handling experience is essential
- Ability to create an engaged team culture and influence change
- Be a team vice-captain and know how to manage staff including conflict resolution (up to 3-5 staff per shift)
- Have solid stock management experience
- Venues are open 7 days a week (10 am to 10 pm)
- 5-day rotating roster (38 hours p/week) - be available on weekends
- Must have full working rights in Australia
