Calling all allied health students, early childhood educators and educational support officers
Are you looking for a way to extend your skills and make a positive difference to children’s lives? Are you currently studying a health degree or wanting to take your previous studies further by learning about early intervention therapies?
We are currently taking expressions of interest to join Leor as a Therapy Assistant.
What is a Therapy Assistant?
- Working under the guidance of a qualified allied health professional, you will be delivering regular one-on-one early intervention therapies to children within their daily routines, either in their homes, at their early childhood centres or in our Allied Health Hub.
- You will be a crucial part of our Clinical Team, where you will learn from our diverse team who have experience across all age brackets, clinical settings, and even from other countries where they have led the way in world first research and clinical practice.
We will be offering part-time, flexible roles that allow you to work around your study schedule. You will have the opportunity to to learn and grow on the job, whilst receiving mentoring, supervision, and training from our team of experienced Allied Health professionals. You will be supported to help children meet their learning and development goals and be guided in your own learning and career development.

As a Leor Therapy Assistant, you will be a person who is
- Currently studying an undergraduate degree in a health discipline or already holding a Certificate III or above in Allied Health Assistance, Early Childhood Education and Care, Education (primary) or Educational Support OR;
- Has relevant experience - either lived experience supporting children or adults with diverse needs or professional experience working as an Allied Health Therapy Assistant under the supervision of an Allied Health Therapist (OT/SP/Psych/Physio);
- Confident to provide individual therapy to children with a program provided by your supervision OT, SP or Early Childhood Teacher;
- An excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
You will ideally already hold, or be willing to obtain:
- A working with children check;
- An NDIS Worker Screening Check; and
- A current driver’s licence and use of a car.
