This voluntary role provides support and assistance for group activities and programs and assists in administrative tasks related to activities. The Student Placement Adults (Program/Focus) position is specifically a fixed short-term role of up to 38 hours per week to complete the education and training requirements for no longer than a period of 2 months duration to support the tertiary educational requirements of students.

Key Activities Expected Outputs and measures

Assist in facilitation of ministry activities
- Under the direction of the Leader, assists in the facilitation of group activity in the Program
- Respond to individual needs effectively
- Presents a positive image of the organisation to corps attendees and community members
- Maintain confidentiality of interactions during group time
- Engage and manage the group dynamics and individuals
- Proficient provision and conduct of facilitation
- Timely and considered referrals
- Compliance with policies and procedures
- Ensure supportive and caring environment for attendees

Maintain a safe and healthy environment
- Monitor and rectify any health and safety concerns within the work environment. Where unable to address an issue escalated to the manager.
- Report any health and safety concerns to Manager
- Complete hazard/ incident and accident form when required in a timely manner
- Safe environment created for children and vulnerable people

Qualifications and experience requirements for the Role
- Must be currently in final stages of a relevant tertiary degree in a related field of study. Experience in relevant field highly regarded.

Mandatory requirements of the Role
- Fully complete The Salvation Army's mission volunteer induction, training and registration process.
- Complete integrity checks as required by TSA, TSA is a childsafe workplace.

Roster & Time Commitment

As agreed with Corps Officer. This volunteer role may require a short-term commitment of up to 38 hours per week to complete the education and training requirements for no longer than a period of 2 months duration.
