Our client is a prominent, successful & progressive national development/construction company operating in the Property Development space. You'll undoubtedly recognise some of their more
**'iconic' builder client names & construction projects** in & around Melbourne This is an
**exciting new role** and will be
**based in Melbourne CBD**. They have amazing state of the art facilities, which have been specifically designed, for their growing business.

This is an exciting and pivotal career opportunity for a People & Culture/HR Advisor to join their team and work closely with their People & Culture Director.

**It's all about you...**
They are now looking for a highly capable P&C Advisor to work closely and support the P&C Director.

If you pride yourself on your ability to be one step ahead, you'll definitely relish this opportunity to use your initiative on a daily basis as assume responsibility for;
- Managing & co-ordinating recruitment / selection of staff in the construction and ancillary divisions including property development, manufacturing, transport & logistics, head office and data centres
- Managing & Co-ordinating performance reviews & appraisals
- Monitoring, managing and delivering continual improvement of HR systems, policies and processes
- Supporting and contributing to HR programs and new HR initiatives/projects
- Creating and implementing Employee Relations programs
- Co-ordinating Induction, on-boarding, compliance checks and existing processes
- Coordinating relevant and effective training to all employees
- Ensuring all activities undertaken by HR comply with relevant Acts, legal requirements and ethical standards
- Recruitment, induction, training and probation monitoring
- Day to day management of any staff issues/concerns that may arise
- Monitoring of relevant Awards/Contracts/Legislation
- Compliance re: entitlements, OH&S and resolution of any grievances
- Monthly reporting
- Any other ad-hoc duties as required

A major component of this role is liaising with internal and external stakeholders on a national and international level and as such the ability to develop relationships at all levels is critical to the success of this role.

**Skills and experience we'd love...**
- Proven experience as a People & Culture/HR Advisor level
- Experience gained in a similar role
- Solid generalist HR experience covering a wide range of HR issues, from both an operational _(essential) _and strategic _(ideal) _perspective
- Experience working with business owners/executive team
- Project management experience _(ideal)_
- Excellent communication skills at all levels and a strong client service focus
- Strong 'hands on' HR style with the ability to motivate and influence others
- Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities
- 'Team player' ethos and have a high levels of discretion, integrity and commitment to the company's standards
- Initiative and a proactive approach
