About this opportunity

In this role you will lead the Sydney based Enjoy (Pensions) team to deliver end to end administration services to our members, clients and financial advisers. You will add value by managing all activities for the Aware transition to retirement, retirement and specialist products which include the Defined Benefits, Guaranteed Income, and Investment (non-super) products and supporting services provided by Service Centres and the Regional network. In addition you will:
Oversee workload, prioritisation and ensure appropriate team resources are in place to meet member expectations and defined service standards;
Ensure effective use of a quality assurance framework that identifies gaps to quality standard and results in coaching and support interventions that drive improvement;
Adapt internal policies and procedures, communication material and Enjoy standards and practices to reflect changes in business rules, legislative requirements or product and ensure changes are implemented effectively in the registry systems;
Provide strong leadership, support and coaching to the team that is consistent with Aware Super’s values and inspires them to deliver a market leading member experience; and
Manage team and individual performance and development with support from team coach. Tasks include: holding regular meetings, cascading communication, providing ongoing feedback, managing performance reviews, development plans and recruitment.

How do you exceed our expectations?

You will be a natural communicator with strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to communicate, build trust and collaboration across teams and all levels of the organisation. You will have strong knowledge of superannuation and retirement rules and regulations and how they apply, along with a good working knowledge of general accumulation and retirement products. You will have some understanding of specialist retirement products such as: defined benefit, guaranteed income, term allocated pensions and non-superannuation investments. In addition, you will have:
Extensive experience managing and leading teams in superannuation or retirement administration;
Relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Finance, Commerce, Business etc) or equivalent working experience;
RG146 qualification, compliant in superannuation (required); and
Ethical and customer centric decision making skills, that have been built off innovative problem solving.
