**Location**

Aegis St Michael’s Facility is located close to North Perth’s vibrant café and shopping district, providing a bright and spacious Facility with attractive shared outdoor and indoor living spaces. St Michael's utilize state-of-the-art equipment providing Residents with quality care and easier working conditions for our staff.

**About the Role**

A working day will involve:
Providing laundry services under the direction and supervision of the Facility Manager according to Facility policies, procedures and standards.

Responsible for all in-house washing.
- Compliance to policies and procedures in relation to laundry services and infection control.
- Maintenance of laundry equipment and checking of filtration devices.
- Maintain stock inventory and personal inventory of residents.
- Ironing, mending and tagging of laundry items as necessary.
- Promptly reports problems to the Facility Manager.
- Handles laundry chemicals in accordance with safety information and safe handling techniques.
- Return personal clothing to residents cupboards and maintain in tidy condition.
- Other duties as directed by the Facility Manager.

**About You**

You should ideally be an empathetic person who:

- Enjoys working with the elderly.
- Can work independently and as part of a team.
- Is able to supervise, organise and guide staff, to deliver high quality catering outcomes.
- Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends.
- Can communicate effectively both verbally and written.

You should possess the following:

- Ability to communicate in spoken and written English.
- Preferred - 1 year experience in laundry services.
