**Main Responsibilities**:
Managing the day to day activities of the receipt of wheat, milling operations, semolina/flour supply, receipt, storage and the flour system.

Identifying operational inefficiencies to develop improvement strategies / plans and drive performance; Optimising the use of resources to minimise cost and maximise efficiency;
Provide reporting to senior management on production performance against key performance indicators; Overseeing and providing leadership to assigned personnel;
Ensuring compliance with relevant com an policies / procedures and legislation through strong leadership

General Responsibilities:

- Directly responsible and accountable for all functions associated with the milling process. This commences with the correct segregation of grain into mill storage through to the production of semolina and by-products that fulfill customer specifications. This includes the management of a formalised
maintenance and hyqiene program.
- Responsible for ensuring the transfer, supply and storage of semolina/ flour to operations meets company requirements and standards, resulting in achieving quality targets and preventing
contamination.
- Maintenance and performance of the flour system, including blow lines, dust extractors, regrind system, dosing system and segregation of flours/semolina.
- Liaise with the Coordinators of operational departments to ensure adequate systems are implemented
and maintained to control product integrity (including the control of regrind, hygiene schedules, etc
- Providing and maintaining a safe working environment and safe systems of work in keeping with legislative requirements
- Developing and implementing manufacturing strategies to identify and improve operational processes, including departmental / plant requirements to meet organizational goals
- Directly responsible and accountable for the successful "on the job" training component for Mill staff
- In liaison with the Grains Manager, document the training process and procedures (including updating relevant SOP's) for competent operation of duties associated with the milling process.
- Determine work programs and follow through with appropriate levels of supervision for Millers Assistants and Mill Operatives
- Work closely with the mill maintenance department in continually identifying continuous improvements and where appropriate rectifvinQ mechanical and or electrical faults
- Collate weekly and monthly reports that detail milling performance by shift
- Identify via daily performance reports any shifts that fall outside milling benchmark performance criteria for overall extraction and subsequent mill loss
- Primary responsibility for the management of the Non Conformance and Action Request Processes.
- Manage the weekly allocation of by-product to stockfeed customers.
- Ensure that the mill and immediate grounds are kept free of grain insects, rodents and excessive dust and rubbish.
- Provide timely and concise reports as required by the Company.
