We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on **Maintenance Officer (Trade Qualified)** to join our friendly team at **Oak Towers Aged Care Service** **in Oakleigh, VIC.**

**What You’ll Do**

As our** Maintenance Officer**, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our site in great shape. You’ll:

- ** Carry out general maintenance and repairs —**from plumbing and carpentry to painting and fixing that annoying squeaky door.
- ** Keep our grounds looking fantastic —**mowing, pruning, and maintaining gardens.
- ** Coordinate with contractors**and occasionally guide other team members and volunteers.
- ** Stay on top of scheduled maintenance**plans using our asset management system.
- ** Help ensure the safety and comfort**of our residents and staff, every single day.

**About You**

You’re someone who:

- Has a trade qualification (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
- Knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements, or ability to acquire with one month of employment.
- 12mths’ experience in a handyman/maintenance role.
- Has experience in property maintenance, either in aged care, community housing, or a similar environment.
- Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Outlook and Internet Explorer.
- Can work independently but loves being part of a team.
- Brings a can-do attitude and genuine care for others.
- Holds a valid driver’s licence, and relevant checks like a Police Clearance and NDIS screening - or the ability to obtain.
