We are on the lookout for a customer service superstar to be a part of our friendly and dynamic reception team for a 105 rooms hotel near Chadstone shopping centre.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for our guests to assist them during their stay. Reporting directly to the Front Office Manager, you will provide timely responses to all guest requests, answer their queries and offer creative solutions to their needs whilst delivering the highest level of customer service. It is essential that every experience our guests have with us is a positive one, as they are the key to our success

The role in a nutshell

  • You will create memorable experiences for our guests with your exceptional guest service skills.
  • You will Check-in and Check-out guests.
  • You will have the confidence, patience and listening skills to address guests concerns and resolve conflicts, even when presented with stressful and challenging situations.
  • You will maximize room sales and conversion of enquires through pro-active sales activity.
  • You will process all reservations received during your shift.
  • You will stocktake inventory during regular floor walks
  • You may complete minor general maintenance duties as required.
  • You will have the ability to liaise efficiently with all departments in the hotel.
  • You will ensure safety and security requirements are being met.

To be successful for this role you will need to have:

  • An enthusiastic and friendly manner
  • A positive can-do attitude
  • Passion for customer service
  • Superior communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Preferably 1 year of relevant experience in a similar position
  • The ability to work with numbers and intermediary Excel skills
  • Local knowledge of Melbourne
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem solving skills and the ability to 'think on your feet'
  • Impeccable personal presentation and high standard of grooming

The successful candidate must be available to work some weekdays, some weekends and public holidays. Shifts will predominantly be 4 days Night Audit shift (11pm – 7am) from Wednesday to Saturday included, possibility to pick up some PM shifts (3pm-11pm) or AM shift (7am-3pm) if required.

Must be able to work unsupervised.
