**Position**: Histopathology Laboratory Assistant

**Location**: Lismore, NSW

**Employment Type**: Full-time - This is a permanent position working a variety of shifts from 5am - 6pm Monday to Friday, with inclusion in a Saturday roster

**Key Responsibilities**:
This role involves laboratory assistant duties in the Histology department.

Some of the key duties include:
Specimen processing, slide preparation, accessioning, embedding, microtomy, slide staining, performing frozen sections and general housekeeping/ maintenance.

**What we are looking for**: To be successful in this role, you'll have an enthusiastic attitude and an employment history which shows initiative, attention to detail and proven ability to work in a busy environment.

The successful applicant will possess knowledge of medical terminology, specimen processing, and excellent customer service and communication skills.

Experience with the Apollo LIS, histology accessioning, processing, microtomy, embedding, and staining, will be an advantage.

This is a perfect role for an enthusiastic individual who has a flexible approach to their work as you will be required to work rostered shifts and assist in areas as required.
