**About the role**:
Our Contistretch team based in Newcastle is looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the team.
In this role you will provide hands on Electrical trades support and planning of all maintenance work, to maximise the efficiencies of all resources and responding to and facilitating recovery from production line breakdowns.
**Roster**: Monday to Friday (day work roster)
**Key responsibilities of the role include**
- Complete assigned repair and preventative maintenance work orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Undertake fault finding and troubleshooting of electrical, electronics, instrumentation and communication equipment
- Maintain all work areas in a safe and tidy state.
- Fully supporting front-line problem-solving investigations and initiatives Liaise with production team to understand the schedule and available maintenance windows
You will be someone who values teamwork, safety and continuous improvement. You will have job stability and progression opportunities.
- Electrical trade or equivalent qualifications
- Experience troubleshooting electrical breakdowns and determining root causes in a heavy industry manufacturing environment
- Experience using an ERP system, such as SAP - desirable
- Understanding of PLC programming and fault finding
- Demonstrated proficiency in hands on Electrical maintenance
- Excellent communication skills and computer aptitude
- Industrial manufacturing or heavy industry environment
- Keen to join a collaborative and safety focused team.
