- This is an excellent opportunity to work on the Hunter Class Frigate (HCF) program, Australia’s biggest surface combatant ship project to date. Based in Osborne, South Australia, it’s a permanent full-time position.
- The Combat Systems Integration & Test (I&T) Planner is responsible for the integration and testing for ASC’s Hunter Class Combat System & Platform Management System (PMS) including development of the associated Integration Support Environment (ISE) and Land Based Test Site (LBTS).
- You will primarily be responsible for:- Develop the Integration Strategy and plan of activities for the Hunter Class Combat System that are aligned with the SEA 5000 CS Integration Strategy, Management Plan and Master Equipment Logic Flow documentation-
- Design and develop Hunter Class Combat System subsystem and PMS integration and trials requirements (including CoA supplied items, referred to as GFX) for the Hunter Class Platforms, LBTS and Integration Support Environments-
- Review and validate the Hunter Class Combat System subsystem and PMS Test and Integration documentation and schedules provided to the Hunter Class Frigate Program by the CSE Supplier Contract or GFA Supplier Agreement-
- Observe the conduct of integration activities, where specified in the CS Integration Strategy, and collate evidence to contribute to achievement of CS acceptance-
- Support the CSE Delivery leads in progressing and achieving GFA Supply Agreements, Design Development Agreements and Procurement Contracts, providing the appropriate Integration, Test & Trials (IT&T) contributions; generating reports and documentation as required-
- Facilitate liaison between CSE Delivery leads, CSE Suppliers and wider members of IT&T for integration matters-
- Identify CS IT&T safety and technical risks and propose mitigation actions-
- Participate in contract negotiations with down-selected suppliers covering the Shipbuild/Operations and Commissioning SOWs and Integration, Test and Trials aspects. Identify any associated costs to inform the Design & Manufacture Cost Model**About you**:

- To be successful in securing this position, you will have:- Excellent ability to direct and influence specialist multi-discipline, multi-site teams interfacing with a wide range of providers and customers-
- Excellent knowledge and experienced in the development and integration of complex System-of-systems equipment-
- Excellent ability to identify and rectify design issues-
- Excellent ability to manage Technical Budgets, and resolve trade-off issues-
- Significant understanding of Safety evaluation and legislation including knowledge of the principles of the Defence Seaworthiness Management System (DSwMS)-
- Significant professional knowledge of relevant engineering standards and codes of practice-
- Excellent understanding of design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, integration and testing-
- Excellent ability to plan and monitor events, assess and resolve technical issues and risks, and achieve pragmatic outcomes-
- Significant customer stakeholder management-
- Excellent knowledge and experienced in the development and integration of complex System-of-systems equipment in the naval environment (desirable)-
- Excellent knowledge and experienced in Combat System: design, sub-system and ship inter-relationships/trade-offs, and operational usage (desirable)**Special Requirements**:
