**About the Role**
As the Team Leader, Student Support, you will be at the forefront of developing, delivering, and assessing the university's financial aid services. Reporting to the Associate Director, Campus Community, you will oversee a team of two direct reports, guiding them in providing comprehensive support to students seeking financial assistance. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring that students receive the necessary aid to thrive academically and personally within the university community.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Lead the day-to-day delivery of financial aid program, ensuring that its services are effective and responsive to the needs of students be facing considerable personal stresses and challenges.
- Lead best practices approaches to service delivery and student engagement within the financial aid team and work with Associate Director Campus Community to monitor team members performance.
- Ensure the ongoing development and refinement of effective administrative processes, enabling the timely and accurate payment of student grants and loans.
- Ensure the development and maintenance of effective self-help and resources for students seeking information and guidance on options for financial support, to enable their agency in the resolution of their day-to-day financial challenges.

**Who we are looking for**
You will have demonstrated experience working with students in advising roles, particularly in matters related to student wellbeing. Additionally, you'll possess a strong understanding of social welfare agencies and systems relevant to the needs of young people, including international students.

You will also have:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated adoption of values by acting in the best interest of the University; displaying service excellence by striving to deliver beyond expectations and taking ownership of the delivery; and value working collaboratively, connecting with people and building relationships in your workplace.
- Demonstrated experience in student support services, ideally within financial aid or scholarship services, and developing, delivering and evaluating services against predetermined objectives
