Exercise Physiologist

**The Green Apple Wellness Centre is looking for a dynamic and motivated Clinical Exercise Physiologist to join our team in a full-time capacity.**

The Green Apple Wellness Centre is an award-winning facility that inspires its clients to achieve their goals. Located in the northern suburbs of Brisbane, the centre has been serving the community since 1978, and is synonymous with exceptional health care.

Our team of experienced Exercise Physiologists, Personal Trainers, Remedial Massage Therapists and Dietitians provide comprehensive healthcare services to individuals of all ages and abilities, with a focus on improving health and wellness, and promoting supportive lifestyle choices.

**Your role and responsibilities**:

- Conduct clinical assessments, including exercise testing, and provide exercise prescription and supervision for individuals with a wide range of medical conditions and injuries (under Medicare, NDIS, DVA, Private Health Insurance and Work Cover).
- Design and deliver group exercise classes and education sessions for patients and the wider community. You may also be given the opportunity to complete further training in programs such as My Health for Life, Beat It, Arthritis Moves etc.
- Maintain accurate patient records and progress notes.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals both within our team and externally to provide comprehensive care plans for patients.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills through professional development opportunities.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing development of the clinic.

**The successful applicant will have/be**:

- A passion for promoting physical activity and healthy lifestyles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team-members.
- Ability to use evidenced based exercise prescription for a diverse range of clients aged 5-95.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new situations.
- Able to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment to achieve best client outcomes.
- Strong reporting and Microsoft office skills.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and current ESSA Accreditation
- Current first aid & CPR certificate
- Professional indemnity and liability insurance
- Blue/Yellow Card

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
