**About the Role and You**
We are specifically recruiting for the Yanchep and surrounding areas for in-home and community access supports.
Your main support will be assisting a fun, bright young boy in Yanchep who loves being out in the community going to the park, going swimming and going to his favourite cafes. He also loves doing enjoyable activities at home with his support workers. He has autism, is non-verbal and is looking to build his support team. He is looking for support workers to support him after school hours on Tuesday
- Friday and Saturdays 11- 6pm. Prior experience working with children is highly recommended and past support experience working with non-verbal participants who have difficulty regulating their emotions. Be a part of a fun, well-supported work team Medication and midazolam administration will be included in the training provided to you when you are on-boarded.
The role of the Community Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. You will provide support to people with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living. You will also promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development for your clients.
**Key duties include**:

- Taking participants out for social outings and activities, shopping trips or GP/specialist appointments.
- Providing companionship and social support.
- Supporting clients at their respective homes with activities of daily living such as toileting, showering and dressing and at-home activities.
- Light domestic duties and meal preparation/assistance when required.
- Medication administration duties.
- Liaising with the families and representatives of the people you support.

**The successful person will need to be available**:

- From 1430 - 2045 on Tuesday
- From 1430 - 1800 on Wednesday
- From 1430 - 1800 on Thursday and/or Friday
- From 1100 - 1800 on Saturday

**The successful person will need to provide**:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Proof of working rights - Passport or visa
- Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- Working With Children Check issued in Western Australia
