**_ What is a Coordinator People and Culture at Hume City Council?_**
The Coordinator People & Culture plays a key role in our organisation leading the newly created P&C Business Partnering function to deliver high-quality employee lifecycle experiences.
This role is a key leadership position at Hume City Council, in a role where you will be able to make a real difference to the organisation and our community. It is an exciting time at Hume as we are embarking on a period of significant transformation to meet the evolving challenges we are facing.

- Oversee the people business partnering function for Council, ensuring a culture focused on employee wellbeing, customer service, continuous improvement, and future proofing our workforce to support our community.
- Provide leadership, expert advice, and oversight to the delivery of a full complement of People & Culture Core services including, industrial and employee relations, workforce planning and reporting.
- Lead a team who influence, empower, and support our key internal stakeholders to develop people solutions which foster a customer focussed, resilient and innovative organisation.
- Contribute to the department operating as one accessible and approachable team that enables, influences, and empowers our organisation to be resilient and adaptable in an ever-changing environment; and
- Support the Chief People Officer and the Manager People & Culture to deliver on the actions of the relevant internal management plans and the People Strategy.
**What's needed**
You will also be a clear communicator, have a passion for helping people succeed and building relationships through trust and respect. You need to be approachable, self-motivated, patient, highly organised and enjoy achieving results.
- You'll excite us with your proven experience in leading a People & Culture team supported by tertiary qualifications specialising in human resource management or employee relations (or related discipline).
- You're comfortable and skilled in providing leadership, expert advice, and oversight to the delivery of a full range of People & Culture Core services including, industrial and employee relations, workforce planning and reporting.
- Working with people comes naturally to you, you prioritise partnering with stakeholders to develop people solutions that create a positive impact and foster a customer focussed, resilient and innovative organisation.
- You are a human-centred leader who is committed to model positive leadership behaviours and focuses on creating an environment where our people can grow, develop and be their best selves.
- You will wow us with your exceptional communication skills and experience in people and relationship management having influenced, partnered, and coached people leaders to creating a positive people experience within a complex work environment.
- You'll need high level project and change management skills with the ability to develop, administer, manage, and coordinate complex employee relations matters, P&C projects, and resources effectively to achieve work goals.
