Dietetics within the Department of Paediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology (DPED) provides services to inpatients, outpatients and ambulatory care patients across Monash Children’s.

A Day in the Life:
As a grade 2 Dietitian within the Paediatric Diabetes & Endocrinology (DPED) team (primarily based at Monash Children’s Hospital) you will:

- Collaborate and be part of a high performing team of Paediatric Diabetes Dietitians
- Provide comprehensive nutritional assessment and management of infants, children and adolescents attending the DPED service both as inpatients and outpatients, including the Young Adult Diabetes Clinic
- Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary DPED Medical and Allied health team
- Be involved in student supervision

This position is well supported by a large, dynamic team with supervision by a Senior Paediatric Diabetes Dietitian. You will work collaboratively within the DPED multidisciplinary team that supports professional development, teaching and research opportunities.

What you Need:

- A relevant Dietetics qualification - eligible for membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia and APD program
- At least 2 years’ experience as a Paediatric Dietitian
- Demonstrated knowledge and clinical skills in nutritional assessment and management of patients with Type 1 Diabetes
- Experience in teaching, training and education
- Excellent interpersonal skills, a strong team focus and an innovative approach
