**About the role**
Our Commercial team have a brand-new position on offer within our driven and dynamic Commercial function. Reporting to the Senior Commercial Manager, the Commercial Officer will provide advice on contract management and associated commercial matters across the program of works.
This role is an excellent opportunity for somebody who interested in the commercial space to set down some roots and build their career. This is a multi-disciplinary role that will gain you experience collaborating with a diverse workforce, providing you with opportunities to learn from industry experts.
Working within a high performing, friendly and supportive team, on any given day you might find yourself:
- Assisting with the preparation, implementation and maintenance of contract administration documentation, systems and plans for a program of works during all phases of the project.
- Drafting routine contract notices and correspondence, internal and government approvals and performance reporting documentation and briefs on commercial and contract management matters.
- Providing contractual advice to the LXRP project teams on procurement strategies, commercial frameworks, approvals, requirements and controls.
This is a 3-year fixed term position, paying a salary between $90,067 and $102,192 + superannuation. The commercial team operate in a hybrid capacity and traditionally spend one day at the Mont Albert Alliance office, two days at 121 Exhibition Street and two days at home.
**About you**
You will have the exciting opportunity to gain experience collaborating with a diverse workforce and to undertake contract administration activities, provide advice on contract management, and associated commercial aspects, across the program of works for LXRP.
Armed with a relevant degree (be it law, commerce, business management or another relevant field), you will have a demonstrated understanding and sound experience in resolving commercial and contractual issues during all stages of the project life cycle. You must be confident in your quality written skills as drafting reports and briefs are essential elements of this role. What else will you bring to the role?
- You don't shy away from collaboration - strong stakeholder management skills are essential as you work with internal teams like finance, cost controllers, engineers, etc.
- Experience working independently in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and shifting priorities.
- A strong strategic & commercial mindset - you are always considering the big picture and exploring continuous improvement opportunities.
