**The Opportunity**

An opportunity to lead, foster, and build strong capability across our national network. This leadership position focusses on empowering quality pedagogy and practice within the national Education team. This role will directly manage and be accountable for 10 + Practice Partners across the nation, the **Pedagogy and Practice Manager** influences best practices whilst improving resources and programs across 420+ services. The role delivers on ensuring foundations for quality practice and fostering innovation. The position includes championing reconciliation and universal inclusion across the network and working in partnership to deliver the best outcomes for the 42,000+ children we care for and educate daily.

**Your day-to-day**

Leading and engaging in quality conversations to have impact for children, families and team across Australia. No two days are the same; this role is diverse, with depth and breadth to cement your career, now and into the future. Areas of core responsibility leverage across, quality care, development of education practice, leadership, and mentoring, whilst embedding safety, and well-being. The duties are, but not limited to:

- Lead, foster, and mentor Practice Partners to deliver high-quality pedagogy and practice..
- Design and delivery of high-quality mixed-mode resources, programs, and initiatives aligned to the Education Strategy, the National Quality Framework, and identified areas of need.
- Champion innovation across development for practice and pedagogy frameworks in our national network.
- Collaborate and partner with operational leaders to support business objectives, coupled with NQF requirements.
- Active engagement in sector events, activities, and opportunities to represent and promote G8.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement and work collaboratively within the team to deliver on priorities from the Education Strategy, state-based priorities and critical centre-based priorities as they arise.
- Contribute to thought leadership and innovation in early childhood education and care.

**About You**
You are someone who thrives in a fast-paced and engaging work environment. You value great partnerships, you’re collaborative, you always strive for excellence, and you own the outcomes. Some of the required skills and experiences to be successful in this role:

- Minimum of 10 years of sector educational leadership.
- Holds tertiary education in Early Childhood and is proficiently registered.
- Cert IV in workplace training and assessment in highly desirable.
- Outstanding content and pedagogical knowledge of quality practice for birth-5 years including presenting and delivering professional learning.
- Extensive working knowledge of the sector legislative context including policy changes and how this applies in practice.
- In-depth understanding of the issues and trends in early childhood education both nationally and internationally.
- Ability to critically reflect on sector issues and trends and provide innovative solutions.
- Ability to develop, influence and maintain strategic partnerships internally and externally.
