The Cyber Threat Intelligence & Incident Manager will collect, analyse, summarise and action open-source cyber threat intelligence, intelligence and prepare and disseminate threat and vulnerability analysis and reporting as well as managing cyber security related incident response for a range of clients.
During cyber security incidents, this role will provide key technical analysis, insights, remediation and recovery strategies and will coordinate and assist operational teams in their containment and recovery activities.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Review available intelligence feeds and generate Indicators of Compromise (IOC’s)
- Identify new threats and methods used by cyber threat actors
- Develop a working understanding of threat actors’ capabilities and intentions
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of computer network exploitation and attack tools and methods, threats and vulnerabilities, and respective countermeasures
- Participate in trend & correlation analysis and scenario forecasting at both the tactical and strategic level
- Lead the technical response to cyber security incidents in coordination with client and internal teams, associated third parties and government agencies
- Conduct investigations into cyber security incidents within the client company
- Document cyber security incidents, remediation activities, post-implementation reviews
- Identify and analyse key pieces of intelligence information to provide input to the client information security strategy
**Qualifications, Skills & Experience**
- 6 years with a BS/BA in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or related technical degree; 4 years with a Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math or related technical degree
- Experience with cyber security engineering projects and programs for government and/or commercial clients
- Strong understanding of security design and architecture with the ability to recommend solutions to moderately complex compliance and security problems
- Strong knowledge of risk management and cyber security techniques
- Negotiator and leader that is self-driven with strong communications skills
- Previous experience as threat intelligence analyst and / or incident Manager
