**About the Job**

We are looking to fill a part-time Medical Reception position. Having flexibility to work extra shifts when necessary to cover holiday/ sick leave is appreciated.

**About the role**
- Answering the phone and handling queries
- Booking appointments
- Checking in patients upon arrival for appointments
- Settling patient accounts
- General office duties.

This is part of a team environment under the supervision of the practice manager.

**Skills and experience**

**Essential**:

- Basic knowledge of MS Word/Excel and computer literate
- Flexibility with roster
- Demonstrate ability to prioritise and organise with attention to detail
- Work cooperatively and independently.
- Demonstrated patient focused approach in service provision with genuine empathy and interest in their needs
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the phone.
- Professionalism is expected where you are well presented, friendly, courteous and obliging when dealing with patients, doctors, nurses and colleagues
- Represent the practice in a confident and positive manner at all times
- Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding patient and practice information
- **Experience with Best Practice Software is preferred but not mandatory**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
