**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Trade Assistant to join our Rutherford team, primarily undertaking duties involved with radiator fitting. In this permanent full-time role, you will be assisting Trades People to conduct repairs and installation of mechanical equipment and parts.

**Duties & Responsibilities**

Reporting to the Leading Hand, your main responsibilities will include:

- Operate grinders, spray painting equipment and other tools and machinery as required, in a safe manner.
- Participate in maintenance, repairs, rebuild and bolt up of radiators.
- Assist with stripping, washing and testing radiators and cooling components.
- Preparation of radiator tubes prior to installation.
- Manual handling and use of overhead crane.
- Housekeeping duties to ensure safe operation of the work area.
- Additional duties can include painting, strip and assembly, pressure testing and soldering.

**About You**

To be considered for this position you will ideally have:

- High Risk Work License - Forklift and Dogging ideal
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop.
- Understanding of Safe Operating Procedures.
- Basic numeracy skills.
- Ability to read instructions, memos, general correspondence and carry out instructions.
- Ability to work with or without supervision.
- Previous experience in mining or manufacturing industries preferred.
