**The Position**

The role of the **Events Catering Coordinator** is to manage, deliver and strongly drive our regular function business, to not only boost overall revenue but also to engage our regular client’s, driving business through exceptional delivery of service.

**The Role**
- Planning and managing events from initial enquire to execution
- Interacting with diverse clientele and working on a range of events - conferences, formal dinners and cocktail parties and other social events.
- Liaising with the kitchen, operation’s team and key suppliers, performing timely follow-ups to ascertain feedback.
- Manual handling tasks - including delivering catering trays, cartons of drinks, etc.
- Coordination on invoicing, billing and administrative tasks
- Displaying excellent customer service at all times

**The Person**
- Previous experience within a similar capacity
- Exceptional back of house control including induction and training of casual workers; accurate administration to ensure correct invoicing and cost recovery
- Sales experience ideally in a hospitality environment
- Impeccable personal presentation and an eye for detail
- Strong emphasis on modern visual presentation
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Ability to drive a standard size van, if and when required to do so
- Ability to maintain a calm and respectful demeanour at all times
