**About The Role**

This is an exciting opportunity to join Arup’s Adelaide team to establish and lead growth of the Renewable Energy team. In this role you will be involved in a great variety of energy projects, including single power plants, portfolios of power plants, precinct and energy system master planning and design (such as heating and cooling networks), hybrid energy systems or energy networks.
As part of a regional team, this role will focus on contribution to the development of Arup’s Energy business strategy, driving client engagement as well as leading a range of energy related projects.

**What will I do?**
- Support the continued growth and development of the Arup Energy practice within South Australia in the first instance, but also across the Australasian region more broadly.
- Develop a diverse service offering which differentiates Arup in the marketplace and serves to attract and retain the best talent.
- Drive client engagement, focusing on the South Australian market, building relationships with key local clients and proactively identifying new business opportunities to support the growth of the energy business within the state.
- Project manage a range of energy-related projects, with a specific focus on stakeholder engagement. This will include small to large projects across a diverse range of energy markets including transmission and distribution, renewable energy, hydrogen and gas, and battery storage.
- Working in close collaboration with Business Leaders to secure pipeline and negotiate major contracts.

**What will I bring?**
- This position is for a technical and business leader with 12+ years’ experience and proven technical capability across a range of energy-based technologies to lead the South Australian Energy Business.
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Relevant industry project experience within a consulting or government business environment.
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
- Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines - and related procedures including OH&S.
