**About the Role**:
The Volunteer Program Team Leader reports to the Community Care Development Coordinator and is responsible for establishing and supporting older residents with a range of volunteer delivered programs. The recruitment, leadership and support of a sufficient number of volunteers to deliver the programs will be key to the success of this role.

You will be responsible to:

- Identify develop and implement a range of interest-based programs to be delivered by volunteers.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract a diverse range and skilled pool of volunteers
- Provide leadership and support to an administration officer and volunteers.
- Identify service gaps and monitor and evaluate volunteer programs including their impact on clients
- Develop and maintain volunteer position descriptions, procedures and documentation.

**Key Selection Criteria**:
To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and competencies:

- Tertiary qualification in community services, human resources, volunteer management, health sciences or a related field. (Bachelor Level desirable).
- Demonstrated skills and experience in volunteer management, preferably within a local government context.
- Knowledge of the legislative environment surrounding Volunteers and/or delivery of in-home aged care services.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in working with older adults to meet individual needs.
- Demonstrated project management skills and the ability to develop and manage a range of projects simultaneously including program planning, implementation and evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and supporting staff and volunteers.
- Ability to identify opportunities to support the development of creative and innovative programs to foster connection and support people to age well.

**Mandatory pre-employment requirements**:

- Be willing to undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check.
- Provide or obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
