**Radiation Oncology, Trainee Unaccredited Position, Nepean Hospital**:

Management of Radiation Oncology patients in the outpatient and inpatient setting. The purpose of the Unaccredited position is to experience Radiation Oncology in a supportive environment. This role would suit Trainee considering Radiation Oncology as a career with view to pursuing an accredited position in the future.

**What you'll be doing**
- Participate in the roster for provision of after-hours services to cover extended working hours on the Radiotherapy Treatment machines from time to time.
- Assist in conducting daily outpatient clinics for cancer patients as per clinic roster and review patients in follow up clinics.
- Perform a daily ward round of in-patients and attend ward rounds with the Consultant Radiation Oncologist as required.
- Participate in the care of patients before, during and after radiotherapy including participation in multidisciplinary team meetings for the allocated term.
- Obtain informed consent for radiotherapy.
- Organise Simulation and Radiotherapy appointments, or appropriate referrals to other clinics.
- Review the clinical progress of patients during and after the course of Radiotherapy.
- Attend Emergency Department as first on call during normal working hours for Radiation Oncology patients.
- Attend Radiation Oncology Outpatients clinics as first on call for patients who attend without appointments.

**Essential requirements**
- MBBS or equivalent, currently registered with the Medical Board of Australia in an appropriate registration category.
- Completion of at least two postgraduate years including medical experience in relevant specialties.
- Demonstrated interest in developing knowledge and skills in Radiation Oncology.
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner in the last 2 years in a setting appropriate to the needs of the position.
- Valid Working with Children Check, cleared National Police Check.
- To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy, this includes any amendments made from time to time.

- Demonstrated interest and commitment to further education and practice in Radiation Oncology
