Are you a person who is passionate about your community, loves managing events and is looking for people to flourish?
If so, being one of our Christmas Lunch Coordinators is an opportunity for you.
You will lead the Christmas Lunch Event in Singleton on Christmas Day, with approx.. 200 people in attendance. The Christmas Lunch events held by Samaritans reach out and walk beside those in need.
Our aim is to make a positive difference in people’s lives and that's where you come in.
You will work closely with the Brand, Marketing and Communications Team to deliver a quality Christmas function and build sustainable relationships for Samaritans. Some of the core duties will include:

- **Assist with the preparation for the event, including administrative tasks**:

- **Liaising with the local business community in the lead up to the event**:

- **Manage the event on Christmas Day at Singleton Showground**:

- **Lead the volunteers during bump in, the event, and bump out**

**Essential requirements**
- Previous Event Management or Marketing experience is preferable. Experience or commitment to proactive customer service
- Experience preferred in managing a variety of stakeholders and negotiating logístical arrangements
- Understanding of WHS responsibilities
- Ability to travel between Newcastle and Singleton in lead up to the event
