Recognised as one of the leading fitout, joinery and building maintenance firms in South Australia, Comace now has an excellent senior opportunity for a Project Supervisor to join their growing organisation in a role which offers leadership, challenge, and variety
**About the Opportunity**
As a critical and influential member of the Comace team, you will be responsible for guiding the manufacturing team to achieve quality, efficiency, and profitability across their diverse, high-end architectural joinery projects. Using your strong leadership skills, you will coach, train, and supervise your team of tradesmen and apprentices to ensure Comace’s second-to-none quality standards are maintained.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Factory supervision of machining and assembly functions
- Preparing and planning the workflow for optimum use of staff resources
- Scheduling of work in consultation with Joinery Manager and Project Manager
- Planning / Review Job Cards - ensure documentation is accurate and complete
- Review and approve timecards for factory staff
- Assist Purchasing Officer with technical advice, procurement/negotiation, invoicing sign off, returns and credits
- Stock management
- Reporting of progress and scheduling to Joinery Manager
- Pioneer innovation and lean manufacturing for optimal workflow and output
- Maintain positive relationships with staff, supplier and subcontractors
- Assess finished goods and inspect goods for quality
**About You**
With 5+ years’ experience in a production environment, you will have a cabinetmaking trade background and a strong aptitude in managing people and processes. With a quality-focussed mindset, you will have an excellent ability to prioritise your diverse workload to effectively meet deadlines.
In addition to the above, to be successful in this role, you will have/be:
- Self-motivated, forward-thinking, results and solutions focussed
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong people skills and a personal desire to connect with teammates across the organisation
- Excellent organisational skills with problem solving capabilities
- A desire to support and enhance the Comace culture
- Current driver’s licence
