**Your new role**

Reporting to the Non Ferrous Supervisor, you will safely operate machinery in order to sort, grade and load metals. This is a diverse and rewarding role for someone who takes pride in above the line thinking — owning their responsibilities, stepping up, and working safely with purpose.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Operating excavators, bobcats, forklifts & other machinery
- Loading sea containers for transport and export
- General yard duties and housekeeping
- Ensure customers receive a high level of service
- Grading and sorting mixed materials
- Demonstrating personal responsibility and commitment to OH&S policies and procedures
- Traffic control within the yard (as required)

**To be successful in this opportunity, you will have**:

- Forklift (LF) license
- Non ferrous metal experience (highly desired)
- Excavator experience
- Experience with swinging/rotating attachments (preferred)
- Ability to work independently
- A can-do attitude, you will be open to undertaking training in order to diversify your skills
- Excellent attendance, reliability and attention to detail
- A strong work ethic and a safety-first approach
- Someone who leads with accountability and initiative
- Flexibility to jump into a range of tasks each day
- Experience in a metal recycling or heavy industrial environment (preferred)
