**The role**

As the Central Despatch Manager at our Thebarton site, you will manage our customers' workload to ensure their requirements are met and their orders are delivered in full, on time, every time, across the Adelaide Concrete Market.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be working as part of a friendly team who will help you learn about our products and systems.

We're looking for someone with lots of energy, who is skilled at juggling competing priorities and meeting deadlines while delivering great customer service.

**Responsibilities**
- Identifying and delivering flexible and effective allocations and service opportunities while managing competing priorities
- Follow up and resolve delivery issues and manage customer expectations
- Determine and arrange the daily schedule and vehicle requirements according to volume and customer needs and optimal fleet utilisation
- Investigate, resolve and respond to internal queries and customer complaints
- Comply with driver Fatigue Management, Statutory requirements and Company Health and Safety
- Oversee CSO team and ensure effective order scheduling and allocations to maximise volume, profitability and customer service.
- Liaising with the Sales, Operations and Logistics teams.
- Ensure all tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner
- Some after hours on-call duties required

**What you will need to succeed**
- Sound knowledge of Adelaide Metropolitan and Regional areas
- Be able to work within a busy team environment and thrive on working with people at all levels
- Friendly, customer service-oriented disposition
- Ability to communicate with managers and operatives at all levels
- Be a proven team player across organisational lines
- Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
- Ability to work autonomously
- Flexibility, with the ability to attend to several issues at the same time
- Experience working in the transport industry (preferred but not essential)
- Knowledge of basic OH&S obligations and requirements (desirable, training will be provided)
- An understanding of CoR requirements (desirable, training will be provided)
- Experience working in the concrete or building industry (desirable)
