We're looking for an experienced, customer-focused **Finance Analyst **to work across our News, Operations and Property teams on a **fixed-term contract**. This role can be based in **Sydney or Melbourne.**

This is an exciting role for a qualified or part-qualified (CA/CPA) person who already has experience in a broad range of finance disciplines.

**What you'll do as a Finance Analyst**:

- Month-end analysis and processing, including P&L reporting and commentary
- Reporting on variances, projects, forecast submissions, international revenue etc
- Business partnering, working with departments to ensure costs remain within budget/forecast
- Assisting with Audit queries and calculate accruals.
- Prepare & post journals for approval.
- Review results of month end & prepare commentary.

**What are we looking for? What's important?**:

- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance related field and CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a broad range of Finance disciplines
- Strong business English language skills both verbal and written
- Highly proficient in MS Office
- Experience using SAP or Oracle highly regarded, as would experience in the Media & Entertainment industry
- Demonstrated experience in a role being regarded by stakeholders as a true business partner
- Highly developed decision-making skills
- A great team player
