**CASUAL/PART TIME**
Do you want to work for Australian Croatian Community Services (ACCS), an organisation committed to changing lives and
making a difference to the community? ACCS provides basic and comprehensive in-home care, weekly social support groups
and one off projects related community participation and active ageing. We also offer pre-accredited basic computer courses
and Croatian language classes for adults.
We have several Direct Care Workers positions available across all three regions (South East of Melbourne, North West of
Melbourne and Geelong). All positions commence as casual that potentially can become permanent part time.
**Key Responsibilities**
Varied duties dependent on client requirements
Assisting clients with personal hygiene and grooming
Assisting clients with housekeeping or other daily errands
Providing companionship and emotional support
Preparing food and feeding clients
Transporting client to appointments and shopping
Transporting clients to our Social Support Group
Providing clients with respite care in their home
**Qualifications and essential skills**
Minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care or Certificate IV Individual Support
Valid work rights in Australia
Current and Clear National Police Check (within 3 years validity)
Current First Aid & CPR certification (or be prepared to obtain)
A passion for client service and caring for elderly people.
**Highly Desirable**
1-2 years of support work or personal care experience
Australian driver's license
Insured car (comprehensive)
Current manual handling certification
Able to speak Croatian or other European languages
