- Laverty Pathology is part of Healius’ Pathology division, one of Australia’s leading providers of private medical laboratory and pathology services. We operate about 100 medical laboratories and 2,000 patient collection centres across metropolitan, regional and remote Australia. Each year, we provide one in every three pathology services in Australia, extending from exclusively servicing some of Australia’s largest and most complex private and public hospitals to small and remote Australian Aboriginal communities.**About the role**
- The position is primarily responsible for creating accurate and efficient rosters for Pathology Collectors in NSW / ACT, ( Metro and Regional coverage) and filling planned and unplanned vacancies across the Collector Network in a timely and appropriate manner. This is achieved through utilisation of a computerised rostering system. An important aspect of the role will be to effectively manage ‘sick’ calls and other (unplanned & planned) leave according to company priorities.- The working hours of this position will fall between 5:30am and 5:30pm, either 5:30am -1:30pm or 930am - 530pm, between Monday and Friday. Availability to work a part day on Saturday will also be a requirement.- This role will require a specific set of skills that includes operational competencies and attention to detail.- Your Duties will include:
- Ensure rosters within designated area are available in advance.
- Create and maintain staff profiles in Work Force Dimensions UKG (WFD) and ensure they accurately reflect position, hours, award, area, and shift.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry on WFD of any changes to shifts
- Ensure all updates or changes to rosters due to personal leave, shift swap requests or other unforeseen requirements are actioned in WFD
- Ensure all communications are attended to in a positive and courteous manner providing accurate and appropriate information if requested
- Ensure timely, accurate and appropriate management of vacancies within Collections
- Monitor casual employees’ availability; number of declined shifts and variability of areas/shifts worked
- Ensure relief Collectors are utilised to the full extent of their contracted hours within the most efficient radius of their nominated Area(s) Liaise with Collections Leads as required, i.e., should vacancies not be filled or are only partially filled**About you**
- Relevant experience with electronic rostering systems, Kronos Work Force Dimensions - ideal
- Sound knowledge and experience in health industry
- Strong communication skills, ability to adapt communication style based on the needs of the audience
- Proven ability to prioritise workload and multi-task to ensure work requirements are completed within expected timeframes.
**Qualifications**:
- Certificate/Diploma in Health and /or Business Administration (desirable)
**Experience**:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a Rostering or similar role
- Some experience with performing routine pathology collections - desirable
