**What’s the role?**
- Deliver unique local sports content, drive conversation and socially-engage our readers
- Sourcing and creating compelling hyperlocal content that is consumer relevant across multiple platforms
- Engage audiences across both digital and print
- Producing social media content
- Work under deadline pressure for a fast paced newsroom
- Create and expand upon a broad network of contacts in the sports industry and local community

**Who are you?**
- Previous reporting and newsroom experience
- An interest and knowledge of all sports
- Experience writing quality content to tight deadlines
- Able to produce engaging and snappy copy
- Strong interview skills and news judgement
- You will be required to work on weekends and occasionally will need to work a night shift
- You are a team player with excellent communication skills and knowledge of an extensive range of topics
