It’s a fun and exciting time to join ING, Australia’s most recommended bank for the 3rd year running We’re looking for an experienced **Manager - Wholesale and Counterparty Credit Risk** to join our dynamic and growing team

In addition, this function will support the Head of Wholesale & Business Credit Risk in respect of a number of broader responsibilities, including capital reporting, regulatory and Head Office requests including policy and portfolio management matters.

You’ll possess credit risk experience in either an institutional or commercial lending background in addition to qualifications in the area of commerce, business, finance, mathematics or accounting.

**What are you going to do? You will be**
- Representing risk management in credit discussions and acting as proxy for the credit process;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with (senior) management and other relevant internal and/or external stakeholders;
- Closely monitoring the portfolio and proposing corrective actions and improvements to senior management;
- Acting as a back-up for other portfolios within the Wholesale & Business Credit Risk Management department;
- Working closely and communicating directly with front office peers and relevant support departments

**What are we looking for? Someone who has**
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the basis and practices behind the effective management of the following areas of credit risk: large structured acquisition finance transactions, wholesale investments, counterparty credit risk management, credit risk reporting and management systems and problem loan management
- Strong track record of personal and team achievement with clear substantial personal contributions to the positive evolution of a business through innovative thinking and an ability operate independently
- Approximately 3-5 years’ experience in originating, executing and documenting transactions, in the Counterparty Credit Risk, Institutional Banking Risk or Corporate Banking / Structured Acquisition Finance environment
- Awareness and ability to act on legislation or regulatory changes and requirements
- Ability to identify potential impacts to organisational services or products and ensure these impacts are communicated to relevant stakeholders; who can identify potential business risks and act appropriately
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels and proven problem solving capabilities
