**Our Consumer & Small Business team**

**About the role**

The Regional Engagement Manager plays a critical role in forging strategic stakeholder & community relationships, and driving service experience improvements, business growth and revenue generation for Telstra in a defined territory. You thrive on utilising your solution-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset to identify and pursue rewarding opportunities. You leverage your ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders within Telstra to deliver initiatives that address issues and deliver positive outcomes for your customers & communities. You are exceptionally organised and have highly polished communication skills. This, along with your passion for the customer & local communities will see you have a direct hand in shaping Telstra’s reputation & financial success in regional & peri-urban markets

As a Regional Engagement Manager, you are recognised for your expertise in customer advocacy, stakeholder management and business development with a proven ability to deliver business growth.

**You will leverage your ability to organise and manage a diverse portfolio to deliver against the following responsibilities**:

- Lead the local external stakeholder engagement strategy to deepen relationships within your defined territory
- Facilitate the engagement & alignment of Telstra’s regional workforce within a region to deliver a brilliant experience for customers & communities
- Develop a deep understanding of your territory using market data, as well as insights from our internal and external stakeholders, customers and communities to identify our challenges & opportunities
- Develop, maintain and execute territory plans with strategic & tactical initiatives to address priority challenges & capitalise on opportunities to improve Telstra’s reputation and grow business
- Lead the local/regional sponsorship, promotion and advertising strategy and execute upon this to ensure strong brand recognition to support customer experience and sales
- Facilitate the planning & delivery of local events for communities to showcase our technology & connectivity capability & strengthen our brand reputation
- Drive the execution of Telstra’s sustainability, inclusion & social responsibility strategy within local communities through programs such as digital inclusion, indigenous check ins & cyber safety
- Drive support of disaster relief coordination in consultation with the Regional General Manager
- Identify and pursue business development opportunities within local communities and industries that drive connectivity improvements and adoption of technology solutions
- Contribute to submissions for external funding and co-investment programs to deliver infrastructure and connectivity improvements to local communities
- Collaborate across the Regional Australia Team peer group to identify opportunities to scale initiatives across multiple regions and markets
