About the role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead the delivery of HIQ's Assurance Program. This role is responsible for developing and managing a robust, risk-based assurance program that provides confidence to the HIQ executive and other stakeholders in the integrity of the information and processes underpinning key decisions.
Reporting to the Director, Assurance Services, the Manager Assurance will collaborate across HIQ and the broader Department to deliver timely, pragmatic and effective assurance outcomes. This includes providing expert advice on the internal control environment, leading a high-performing team, and supporting the implementation of practical solutions to identified risks and issues.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver a risk-based assurance program aligned with compliance and governance requirements.
Lead and develop a high-performing assurance team, managing resources, systems, and reporting frameworks.
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive process, system, and governance improvements.
Oversee implementation of management responses to assurance findings, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
