What’s the job?Learning Facilitators must work to ensure students are provided with the best opportunity to attain learning outcomes/competencies and satisfactorily complete their assessment tasks. Lecturers must participate in course review initiatives, including validation and moderation activities and are required to be available to provide student support outside of timetabled class hours.

About you:
- Experience using counselling skills in a Health context-
- Be an expert communicator-
- Experience in communicating and collaborating in a range of diverse settings including multi-modal and interprofessional-
- Have undertaken counselling as part of health training and be familiar with the Micro-skills, core conditions and philosophies-
- Experience in teaching the fundamentals of self-reflection and person-centred practice-
- Experience and a passion for teaching first year students-
- Qualified in a relevant related health field (eg. Counsellor, Psychology, Psychotherapist, Mental Health Practitioner, Mental Health Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse);-
- Have a minimum 5-year post-qualification experience using Counselling skills- Day-to-day accountabilities:
- Delivering lectures, workshops, practical classes and tutorials as specified by the Program DirectorParticipating in course review initiatives, moderation and course development as necessary-
- In collaboration with key staff, develop and delivering academic programs for students including orientation events, study skill development and other tutoring and mentoring initiatives;-
- Providing on-going student supportThis is a casual position with face to face teaching at Melbourne’s Flinders St campus 2 day per week. We are recruiting for a Monday 3pm and Tuesday 8am classes in out Trimester 2 study period. Future opportunities for additional online teaching may be available. This position will start on May 20th with teaching commencing from the week of June 3rd.
