Precision Tools and Technology Pty Ltd’s, are hiring for a Gas and Welding Technical Sales Representative for its subsidiary company, HGE Pty Ltd t/as The Harris Products Group. - **About the Opportunity**

We are looking for a full-time **Gas and Welding Technical Sales Representative** to be based in **Wacol, QLD**, with responsibilities across **Queensland**and **northern New South Wales**.

Reporting directly to the General Manager. Your responsibilities will include:

- Represent the company in selling a range of specialised machines, manufacturing materials and other industrial supplies.
- Managing an existing portfolio of key customers and expanding market share
- Conducting live demonstrations and training sessions for distributors and end users
- Providing gas and gas-cutting equipment recommendations and technical support
- Implementing sales strategies to drive business growth
- Performing quotations, invoicing, and administrative sales tasks
- Some interstate travel (quarterly/biannual trips to NSW, occasional long-distance QLD travel)
- Participating in merchandising and promotional activities
- Identifying and compiling lists of prospective industrial clients in the gas and welding sector
- Acquiring and maintaining in-depth knowledge of the company’s gas and welding equipment, tools, and consumables, as well as those of competitors, and staying informed on current market trends and conditions.
- Conducting regular site visits to existing and potential clients to identify sales opportunities, promote product solutions, and build long-term business relationships.
- Assessing clients’ technical and operational needs, and providing expert advice on the most suitable gas systems, welding machinery, safety equipment, and associated products or services.
- Monitoring client feedback, evolving customer requirements, and competitor offerings to inform internal product strategies and sales approaches.
- Preparing accurate quotations, negotiating pricing, credit terms, and service agreements in line with company policies, and processing purchase orders accordingly.
- Coordinating the timely delivery and, where required, installation of welding equipment and gas systems in collaboration with logistics and technical support teams.
- Reporting to sales and business development management on client activity, pipeline progression, and marketability of products and services.
- Following up with clients post-sale to ensure satisfaction with products delivered, managing warranty or servicing issues, and fostering repeat business opportunities.
- Maintaining detailed records of sales activity, client interactions, business expenses, and preparing periodic sales reports for internal review.
- **About You**
- **Bachelor degree or higher qualification, and, at least 12 months of full-time work in this occupation or a related field, or at least five years of relevant sales experience in the gas industry, welding, cutting equipment, or industrial sales**:

- Strong technical knowledge in **gas, gas-cutting, and welding equipment**:

- A self-starter mentality with a proactive, problem-solving approach
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and CRM software (e.g., Salesforce)
- A valid driver’s license (travel required)
- A trade background or technical knowledge of **gas, welding, heating, and specialty gas** products is highly desirable

Pay: $100,000.00 - $135,000.00 per year
