**Waste Services Officers - Full Time Position**

An exciting opportunity exists to join Austin Health's Waste Services Team. The Waste ServicesTeam is an in-house service responsible for the collection, movement and management of Austin Health’s waste streams including (but not limited to) general, recycling and clinical waste. The team also plays a key role in reducing waste and identifying and implementing new initiatives. Applications should have a minimum medium rigid license.

Our 11,000 employees and 425 volunteers provide safe, high quality, person-centred care at Austin Hospital, Olivia Newton-John Cancer, Wellness and Research Centre (ONJ Centre), Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital and Royal Talbot Rehabilitation Centre, as well as in the community through Hospital-in-the-Home and partner health services. We are an internationally recognised leader in clinical teaching, training and research and have affiliations with many leading universities and research institutes.

Selection Criteria Essential: - To be able to work unsupervised. - To be able to work in a team environment. - To be able to take initiative. - To have good oral communication skills. - Experience in waste management. - Knowledge of waste generation processes in healthcare. - Demonstrated understanding of hospital environment
