As the Assistant Finance Officer you will maintain accurate finance records and controls ensuring accuracy, quality data integrity, and compliance with QRIDA's Financial Management Practices Manual.
Key responsibilities and duties undertaken by the role include:
Ensure that all payments are completed within relevant timeframes and that policy and procedures applicable to the accounts payable function are adhered to.
Prepare working and generate timely and accurate invoices for QRIDA's funding and fee for service revenues.
Assist in the preparation of financial performance reporting through preparing and processing financial tasks, such as fortnightly payroll costing journals, Fixed Asset Register maintenance, monthly Payroll Tax payments, end of month adjustments and end of year accruals.
Assist in the management of general ledger reconciliations including bank accounts, corporate cards accounts and other balance sheet accounts
Assist in the preparation of the Annual Fringe Benefit Tax return and Annual Payroll Tax return
Contribute towards the effective management of the business unit's resources and information in accordance with QRIDA's governance and policy frameworks, including but not limited to risk management, work health and safety and records management.

The Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) is a specialist provider of government financial and advisory support to rural and regional Queensland.
As a statutory body of the Queensland Government we have been helping primary producers and industry recover from natural disaster, improve sustainability and profitability, make a start in business, and overcome difficult conditions, for more than 30 years.
As the Queensland Government's experts in rural finance, we also administer the State Government's Farm Business Debt Mediation program, the Farm Debt Reconstruction Office, conduct a biennial Rural Debt Survey, undertake research and provide advice to the Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Minister for Manufacturing, and Minister for Regional and Rural Development.
QRIDA is empowered under the Rural and Regional Adjustment Act 1994 to deliver additional programs and services across a range of industry sectors and to local, state and territory governments throughout Australia and for the Australian Government.
