L’épi Artisan Bakery, renowned for crafting exceptional artisan breads and pastries, is seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our team on a part-time basis for two days a week. This internal role is perfect for someone who is passionate about numbers and thrives in a supportive, dynamic environment. As part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in managing our financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and contributing to the overall success of our bakery.

Key Responsibilities:
     -     Maintain and update financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.

     -     Handle accounts payable and receivable.

     -     Reconcile bank statements and transactions.

     -     Prepare financial reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising account information.

     -     Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying requirements; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing reports; advising management on needed actions.

     -     Collaborate closely with our management team to support budgeting and financial planning.

**Requirements**:
     -     Proven bookkeeping experience.

     -     Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.

     -     Proficiency in XERO accounting software.

     -     High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

     -     Excellent organisational skills.

     -     Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
