About the business - SERGEANT LOK

Designed by James Barnet and built by W. Cains and Sons, the police station building was one of two major stations in the city of Sydney from the 1880s and is the only one of these two to survive. Modifications to the building since the 1880s have been minor only and as such, it retains much of its original form and detail internally and externally.

Guests can embrace the rich history of this wonderful building in unique dining and drinking spaces created in former holding cells, charge rooms, muster room and offices. The cells retain many of their early fixtures including metal cell doors and window grilles.

Whether you're joining us for a bite to eat off the bar snack menu or dining off the the indulgent a la carte menu, Sergeant Lok takes pride in creating innovative flavour combinations and invites guests to experience the very best in Modern Asian cuisine in this truly unique building.

About the role

**Requirements**:

- Must have at least 1 year relevant working experience.
- Must hold current RSA qualification.
- Must hold a valid visa to work in Australia.
- Excellent English skills.
- Basic knowledge in wine or alcoholic beverage.
- Possess a can do attitude.

Job Responsibilities
- Menu understanding, with ability to make recommendations to customers.
- Table ordering, ability to input the required into POS.
- Experience with NowBookIt and Lightspeed Kounta.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to handle phone enquiry in a politely and make resevervations accordingly.
- Collaboration with Back of House management.
- Upholding food safety and OHS requirements.
- A genuine passion for dining room servicing with excellent communication skills, a reliable honest attitude, and the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A professionally presented individual and groomed at all times.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 24 per week

**Salary**: $24.62 - $40.00 per hour
