About the Role

We are looking for a Team Manager Logistics (Day Shift) to join our site in Morwell. You will lead up to 24 team members over 4 crews, managing the warehouse operations. Other responsibilities include managing external transport of finished product to 3PL providers, receiving deliveries from other sites and suppliers, waste removal and managing our Forklift fleet. The Team Manager will essentially manage logistics warehousing and distribution operations to ensure an efficient and cost-effective operation. The role will also provide the first point of contact for warehouse related Safety, People, Operational, Quality, Service, and Cost issues.

Utilising your previous experience of leading teams, you will identify opportunities to develop your people and continuously improve the operations.

Other responsibilities- Ensure compliance with national and site safety systems, procedures and policies to ensure that daily operation is in a safe work environment- Ensure the timely despatch of product to meet customer order requested delivery dates and time windows to support and improve the achievement of DIFOT- Establish and implement the daily Dock schedule. Report daily on adherence to schedule.- Ensure co-ordination of transport resource requirements to match daily dispatch schedule- Liaise with transport providers to ensure daily dispatch and transport plans are managed and maintained

About you- Hands-on leadership experience and ideally working in a FMCG Food Manufacturing (Supply Chain environment or cold-chain networks)- Background in safety systems & programs, cold chain compliance metrics- Experience developing and training staff in best practice processes- Experience in DC, storage, warehouse, or transport management- IT system knowledge TMS/ WMS or SAP will be highly regarded.

Our Morwell site is located about 150km east of Melbourne, manufacturing a large range of products in yoghurt and dairy desserts including brands such as Farmers Union, Dairy Farmers and Yoplait.
