**About the position**

As a Therapy Assistant you will deliver Speech, OT and Physiotherapy programs to our clients under instruction and guidance of a qualified Allied Health Professional. Therapy programs will include individual and group therapy programs for clients, in an individual and family centred model of practice.

You will support our clients and their families to achieve their therapy goals whilst furthering your experience in the fast growing disability sector. You will receive ongoing and careful support from our Allied Health Professionals.

You will be a champion for our customers and support them to achieve their goals and independence.

This position is for our Gympie clients and is offered on a casual basis, envisaged to be between 10 - 20 hours per fortnight. Ideally, you will be living locally and providing therapy on a mobile basis. You will be provided with a laptop and phone.

**Key Requirements**
- Allied Health students living locally, perhaps studying externally - **or;**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health, either completed or nearing completion - **or;**:

- Fully qualified and/or experienced Allied Health Assistant (min Cert III) - **or;**:

- Experience working with children or people with disabilities in a similar role, perhaps as a disability support worker or teacher’s aide.
- Be a highly motivated and caring individual.
- Hold a valid QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening clearance.
- Have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module training.
- Hold current First Aid and CPR.
- A current drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and an understanding of the importance of professional boundaries and scope of practice.
- Capacity to assist in all duties and be confident to do so autonomously.
- General computer skills.
- A high level of energy & enthusiasm towards the work you do.
