We've said it once, but we'll say it again. Varsity Cannington is going to be a beast We are currently looking for a stellar Assistant Venue Manager to join our Varsity team to lead our newest venture. Featuring a huge amusement offering, including arcade games, bowling lanes and a full-size Varsity, our newest baby is going to be anything but tiny.

The role of our Assistant Venue Manager is one of leader. Leading our venue based teams to deliver outstanding customer service and experience to all Varsity customers. Supporting the General Manager to guide and deliver the functional operations of the Varsity Group in line with our brand and strategic objectives, the Assistant Venue Manager is the boots on the ground captain, responsible for guiding our teams to victory.

**Responsibilities**

Working closely with the General Manager and FOH Manager, your responsibilities will include:

- Ensuring smooth operations from both a traditional Varsity perspective (burgers and beers) and a "new" Varsity perspective (amusement and experience)
- Delivering training to, and guiding our teams to ensure exceptional customer experience.
- Executing shifts with precision, keeping energy levels high.
- Maintaining successful KPI's including Wage % and COG's
- Ensuring accurate ordering, including beverage and redemption store items, are undertaken in a timely manner.
- Working to support the BOH team, ensuring exceptional quality food products are delivered to our customers.
- Supporting trials of new team members and participating in recruitment processes.
- AND most importantly, delivering exceptional experience to our Varsity customers.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry.
- Previous experience working in an entertainment / amusements environment (think arcades machines, bowling lanes and/or redemption) is highly beneficial.
- Have basic financial acumen and an understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
- Thrive in a fast-paced and sometimes chaotic environment.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Embody a positive and light-hearted demeanour, spreading laughter and joy throughout the venue.
- Knowledge of different types of beverages, cocktails, and their ingredients is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a team-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
